Friday September 19th was the annual Engineers PEI Golf tournament. Naturally, the Harbourside PEI team had to make an appearance on the green, in addition to sponsoring the 8th hole $25,000 prize!

Every year, Harbourside thanks it’s amazing engineers and staff with an annual retreat. This year, we celebrated our team, and our families at the Mill River Resort.

PNI Atlantic News — Harbourside wins the coveted Schreyer award from the Canadian Consulting Engineering Awards for their work on the deconstruction of the Old Champlain Bridge. Saltwire features Greg MacDonald and Calvin MacAulay from Harbourside’s PEI office to discuss the project.

The work of consulting engineering firms was celebrated, as 20 projects were recognized for their technical excellence and their contributions to society, during the 2024 Canadian Consulting Engineering Awards (CCEA).

CCE — Canadian Consulting Engineer and the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies – Canada (ACEC-Canada) handed out the 56th annual Canadian Consulting Engineering Awards at a celebration in Ottawa on Thursday, Oct. 24. The top prize, the Schreyer, went to Harbourside Engineering and gbi for the Champlain Bridge Deconstruction project in Montreal.

Canadian Consulting Engineer — The 2018 Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Excellence in Engineering in Nova Scotia has been awarded to Halifax Harbour Bridges, along with COWI North America and Harbourside Engineering Consultants for the Angus L. Macdonald Bridge Suspended Spans Deck Replacement project, also known as “The Big Lift.”

Dalhousie — That structural team, engaged by Argyle Developments, includes BMR Structural Engineering, Cherubini Metal Works, Harbourside Engineering and LEAD Structural Formwork. All have been working in close collaboration, navigating a project that is constantly undergoing design changes to address space and construction constraints.

Canadian Architect — Canadian consulting engineering firms received the highest recognition for engineering excellence at the 2014 Canadian Consulting Engineering Awards gala, held at the Ottawa Convention Centre. Harbourside received the award for Excellence for their work on the Vimy Memorial Bridge (Formerly Strandherd Armstrong)

Daily Commercial News — Harbourside Engineering Consultants of Dartmouth, N.S. was so certain that the company had devised a superior concept for the Indian Sluice Bridge replacement project in Yarmouth, N.S. that its engineers worked with client Dexter Construction to submit an alternate design for the new structure.
