  • We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Production Supervisor with a solid background in Millwrighting, Ironworking, and Pipefitting to lead and oversee multi-disciplinary crews on industrial construction and maintenance projects. The successful candidate will ensure all work is executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project plans, specifications, and schedules.

    We have office locations in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia; Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island; St. John’s, Newfoundland; and Stoney Creek, Ontario.

    This position is based in Labrador, Newfoundland and operates on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotational schedule. Accommodations and travel support are provided.

  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of millwrights, ironworkers, pipefitters, and subcontractors on-site.

    • Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and client requirements.

    • Plan and organize manpower, materials, and equipment needed to complete tasks on time and within budget.

    • Read and interpret blueprints, isometrics, and construction drawings to provide clear direction to crews.

    • Coordinate with project management, engineering, QA/QC, and other departments to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.

    • Track work progress, manage delays, and report on productivity and schedule adherence.

    • Lead toolbox talks and job hazard assessments; enforce safe work practices at all times.

    • Identify potential change orders and assist with scope clarification and documentation.

    • Mentor and support field workers to improve skills and maintain high performance.

    • Ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to applicable codes and standards.

    • Complete bid walks for potential new projects and work with Estimation and Project Coordinators to assist in submitting new estimates for Capital & Operational works.

    • Red Seal Certification or Journeyperson status in millwrighting, ironworking, or pipefitting (multi-ticketed an asset).

    • Minimum 8–10 years of industrial construction or maintenance experience, with at least 3–5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

    • Strong knowledge of mechanical installations, structural steel, rigging, equipment alignment, and process piping.

    • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, P&IDs, and engineering documents.

    • Proven leadership and communication skills with a focus on productivity, safety, and quality.

    • Familiarity with project scheduling, workface planning, and delay tracking tools.

    • Valid safety certifications (e.g., WHMIS, Fall Protection, Confined Space) as required.

    Preferred Assets:

    • Multi-discipline trade background or dual-ticketed.

    • Experience with shutdowns, turnarounds, and construction projects.
