Harbourside Transportation Consultants specializes in traffic engineering and the design of transportation / civil infrastructure. HTC’s expertise is focused on traffic analysis, transportation planning, and transportation design, including highways, streets, signalized intersections, interchanges, and roundabouts. HTC also carries out civil site design and municipal services design.

Preparation of preliminary and final designs for infrastructure renewal projects, stormwater projects, culverts, watermains, sanitary and storm sewers and grading.
Preparation and coordination of approvals, tender documents, cost estimating, contract documents, reports including sealing the documents.
· Preparation of designs, drawings and technical specifications.
Preparation of cost estimates.
Writing of technical engineering reports.
Carry out site visits to gather information, carry out construction site reviews and attend project design and construction meetings.
Preparation of proposals.
Project management of work assignments.

Registered or eligible to register with Engineers Nova Scotia.
10+ years’ experience in civil/municipal engineering.
Familiar with applicable design standards.
Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. A Master’s Degree would be considered an asset.

The successful candidate will be a highly organized professional with the ability to prioritize multiple work assignments. They will possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Experience with customer relationship management, dealing with contractors and conducting site reviews, attending project meetings, and coordinating with other organizations and consultants would be considered strong assets.
