Harbourside Engineering acquires W S Langley Concrete & Materials Technology

Harbourside Engineering Group, a heavy civil infrastructure design firm based in Dartmouth, N.S., recently expanded its capabilities with the acquisition of W S Langley Concrete & Materials Technology.

The acquired company’s president, Wilbert ‘Wib’ S. Langley, P.Eng., has more than 50 years’ experience in concrete materials engineering, including testing, service life modelling and prediction, thermal control plans and materials consulting for engineers, architects, contractors and other construction professionals. He has consulted for the Halifax Harbour Bridges, Confederation Bridge, Gordie Howe International Bridge, William R Bennett Bridge and Hoover Dam Bridge.

Also joining is Ted Moffatt, P.Eng, who has more than 10 years’ combined academic and industry experience related to concrete materials, specifications, performance, mix design development, durability, sustainability, non-destructive testing and condition assessments…
