Ocho Rios Berth 2 Rehabilitation
Harbourside was hired by the Port Authority of Jamaica (PAJ) to perform a condition assessment of the existing Berth 2 at the Ocho Rios Cruise Terminal in Jamaica. The berth was damaged by a cruise vessel in February 2024.
Barrack Point Potash Terminal Facility Condition Assessment
Harbourside was engaged by the Port of Saint John to assess the Barrack Point Potash Terminal Facility’s infrastructure at the Port in Saint John, New Brunswick. The purpose of this investigation was to evaluate the condition of the structures throughout the facility and estimate their remaining service life.
Port of Charlottetown Cruise Berth Expansion
Amongst many marine projects successfully completed by the team over the past 5 years, the work at the Port Charlottetown is arguably the most well rounded civil marine project that showcases the team’s exceptional experience in assessment, design, project management, and construction of marine works.
Souris Marine Terminal
In 2012, the Souris Harbour Authority required engineering consultations and analysis services. The goal was to evaluate the operations and conditions surrounding the Souris Marine Terminal, and potential future upgrades to the facility.
Caribou Ferry Terminal (Part 2): Repairs and Upgrades
Harbourside oversaw the assessment and repairs of various structures for the Caribou Ferry terminal in Caribou, NS. Following the assessment, HEC completed repair prioritization and initial cost estimates for a variety of upgrades required around the facility.
Little Bras d’Or Cofferdam, Trestle and Bridge Replacement
Local tourism in the Little Bras D’Or area is dependent on the access provided by the Little Bras D’Or bridge. It acts as the only non-load related link to the Newfoundland ferry in North Sydney. As the bridge was in a deteriorated state, it was slated for replacement in 2010.
Caribou Ferry Terminal (Part 1): Harbour Planning
Public Works Government Services Canada hired Harbourside Engineering Consultants to carry out preliminary engineering and planning for proposed upgrades to the existing small craft harbour located in Caribou, NS.
Skinners Pond Breakwater Repairs
The bulkhead breakwater structure at the Skinners Pond facility had severely deteriorated by 2011. As such, Public Works and Government Services Canada were looking to have a concept developed and the detailed design caried out of the substantial repairs that were needed.

Alternate Dock Facility Viaduct, Marine Atlantic
