Team Gushue Highway Interchange Study
Harbourside Transportation Consultants was retained by the NLDTW to complete a detailed traffic analysis to review the impact of recent and future development on the Team Gushue Highway.

Karwood Market Area Traffic Study
The Karwood Market and Octagon Pond development areas in the Town of Paradise, NL. have been the subject of several development proposals in recent years. With all the expected construction, Harbourside Transportation Consultants (HTC) was tasked with preparing a Traffic Study to help direct Town staff on the road network improvements that would be required. The traffic study was to cover both development areas over a 5-year and 10-year planning horizon.
Portugal Cove – St. Philip’s Street Classification
In 2016, Harbourside Transportation Consultants conducted a comprehensive traffic and roadway study in the Town of Portugal Cove, St. Philip’s. In gathering this information, the Town’s goal was to have Harbourside re-classify streets as necessary and create a new town map to illustrate the street reclassifications.

Shannon Park Development Traffic Study
Back in 2016, Harbourside Transportation Consultants (HTC) was retained by the Canada Lands Company (CLC) to prepare a traffic study for the redevelopment of Shannon Park in Dartmouth, NS. The CLC proposed development included approximately 3,000 residential dwelling units and 145,000 sq. Ft. of neighbourhood type commercial space.

Town of Bay Roberts Transportation Master Plan
Most of the streets and roadways within the Town of Bay Roberts are rural in nature, with narrow asphalt widths, gravel shoulders and ditches to accommodate drainage. Many of these streets are not well suited to accommodate the urban growth patterns that have been experienced within the Town. To address this, the Town engaged HTC to prepare a comprehensive Transportation Master Plan (TMP).

Memorial University Area Traffic Study
In 2016, the City of St. John’s, Memorial University, and the Provincial Department of Community Services partnered together to undertake the Memorial University Area Traffic Study. The goal of the study was to examine the longer-term transportation infrastructure needs in and around the University area which has seen significant growth. Naturally, this study necessitated the expertise of transportation engineers.

Mount Pearl Integrated Transportation Study Phase 1B
One year following the information gathered in Phase 1A, the City of Mount Pearl engaged Harbourside Transportation Consultants (HTC) once again. This time, it was to complete the second phase of the Integrated Transportation Study.

Route 2 Traffic Study
In 2015, Harbourside Transportation Consultants (HTC) were retained by the Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Transportation and Works (NLDTW) to study the potential impacts of a new interchange that was being proposed on Route 2 between the Route 1/Route 2 cloverleaf interchange and the Fowler’s Road interchange.

Bedford West Sub Area 10 Traffic Study
Harbourside Transportation consultants completed a traffic impact study as part of the development application for Bedford West Sub Area 10. This was to quantify the transportation impacts of the proposed roundabout development.

Mount Pearl Integrated Transportation Study Phase 1A
The City of Mount Pearl and surrounding areas have seen significant growth in development, population and infrastructure in recent years. Considering this, the City of Mount Pearl engaged Harbourside Transportation Consultants (HTC) to complete an integrated Transportation Study.

Torbay Pedestrian Safety Study
With the rapid growth it experienced over the past few years, the Town of Torbay was looking towards the future. It needed to ensure the Town had suitable transportation infrastructure that could accommodate a growing population. This included sidewalks, trail systems, and integrated pedestrian crossings throughout the town. In 2015, Harbourside Transportation Consultants (HTC) was retained by the Town of Torbay to carry out a pedestrian safety review.
